The Los Angeles Olympics occurred in August 1984. That was the same month that the Space Shuttle Discovery was launched on its maiden voyage. Prince’s “Purple Rain” hit #1 on the album charts and the last VW Rabbit in history was manufactured. All in August 1984.
Thanks for the example. I'd like to see even more examples of leading indicators. Why aren't they more widely used? Are they too difficult for some things?
Love the fact that someone actually drove x-country looking through the rear-view mirror. But doesn't that give hope to the people who try to move forward looking backwards? Seems to me that with a goal, grit and resilience you can achieve anything, even if it's not realistic, safe or efficient. :) Seems like a great exercise for #growthmindset.
